I just got a returned email stating that it had detected that new SoBig virus in my email. So if any of you got hit with a worm from my computer - I apologize. Such is the pernicious nature of this rather insipient worm...

Yet another reason to switch to Macintosh. Since most of the viruses are PC-based, Macs are immune to them smilie_osx.gif !

Also, I have my email software set up so that when I receive an unsolicited email, it goes directly into my "Deleted Items" folder, and a copy gets sent right back to the sender. If they're gonna spam me, I'll fight fire with fire biggrin.gif .

No worries from CelticRadio.net since we are using Linux and it is virtually impossible for a virus to effect a linux system. I think there are only 3-4 known linux virus.

Yeah, I checked Symantec's website and they said the worm only affected Microsoft OS's.

I think there's even less viruses for Mac smilie_osx.gif . Two reasons: 1. There are far more PC users, hence the greater chance for trouble, and 2. Apple does a really good job at squashing little bugs before they become big problems. I check religiously to see if they have any security patches. If they do, that means that they've found a bug.
