Might have just been visable from the right coast of Usa, but did anyone else notice the star pattern around the waning moon last weekend?
Several of my pagan friends and I noticed an unusual star pattern around the waning moon this past weekend of which we have never seen before!
There were 5 sets of 2 stars equidistant from the moon in a circular pattern around the moon with 2 other stars radiating from the moon like spokes to each of these stars!
This was observed by non-pagan folks as well.
I wish I had taken a picture... it was most unusual indeed!

I'm really sorry to say I missed seeing it. I do try to get outside later in the evening as much as possible, after everything's grown quiet, but didn't manage to do that last weekend. Wish you'd been able to take a picture, too, but I'm glad you saw it.

Actually we are in the age of aquarius, 4 Aquarius to be exact. The zodiacal ages are in 1600 year ages. We just entered Aquarius in 2000, so we will be in aquarius until the year 3600.

Oh. Sorry. I don't know much about the zodiac. I think I was born under the sign of Mickey the Mouse. Or was it 'No Parking"? I don't remember.
You were born under a No Parking sign or conceived under a No Parking sign?
Knowing my mother, it's a miracle I was conceived at all. When I was born, my dad was 49 and mom was 38. Do you remember the cartoon showing the old couple where the woman is pregnant and the caption reads "You and your once more for old time's sake"? That was my parents.

I find it dis-heartening that those that claim to be of the spirit do not grasp the meaning of this great sign! Those of you that poke fun... well all I can say is... never mind!

I'm sorry for this sort of "fun"; but for me it's a sign for lacking respect ...sorry to say this. I just think "The Grove" is not a place to make jokes about! It really bothers me!

Shadows, I do not see anyone poking fun at this at all. I am new to the path and have just found myself a teacher to help me on my path. Not everyone has been brought up in the path their entire lives. Plus you might have a lot of different traditions here and to say that if you don't understand the meaning of something you are not following the path. Instead of coming down on people, share what you know, I know I would love to hear other's insights, and I'm sure other's would too.

I agree it does not belong here in the grove... I have warned the culpret that started it... I will leave the rest in the hands of RW.
Now...I don't think it was meant to hurt or offend anybody. But this is exactly what could happen or could have happenend though. I mean if I posted a serious topic or question and got such a comment...well, call me thin-skinned but I would feel hurt or uncomfortable at least. Even me who only read these few posts here feel uncomfortable. There are places for jokes and I love kidding around myself from time to time - but we should avoid making fun when it is touching topics concerning all kinds of beliefs. We should show tolerance and respect for each other's.
