Just to let all of you know, Sunday the 12th will see both the Baltimore and Washington DC St. Patrick's day Parade. THe trouble is that they both start at 1pm.
I will be marching with my friends in Baltimore. We should have several hounds with us and that always makes it a good day.
I remember the last time I saw the New York parade (I was working high up in a building right on the corner of 86th and Fifth, where the parade turns the corner and goes east. Best seat in the city.).It was coming down rain, sleet, snow, cat urine, you name it, and the poor dogs. . . and not to mention the poor pipes. . .
I hope you and the hounds have a brisk, sunny day and a fantastic crowd. And may all your pints be treats.
Here in Chicago, we have two St. Patrick's Day parades. They're the weekend before St. Paddy's Day. The downtown one is on Saturday and the South Side Irish parade (aka the REAL parade) is on Sunday. I played the tuba in my high school marching band. we participated in both the parades. Sometimes it'd be so cold, I'd be out there freezing my brass off .

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Well the good Lord was kind to the Irish today and held off the rain. We were very pleased with our turnout, we had 12 Dogs to walk in the parade. A good time was had by all.
