Until recently, Celtic Art has been regarded as a mysterious relic of an archaic culture and people who once lived in the British Isles and other parts of Europe. Truth is, they live here still, despite attempts by successive invaders and cultures to dislodge or swamp them. Disappearing but briefly into the remote wilderness of Scottish glens, Welsh mountains, gloomy mists of Irish bogs, Cornish castles and moors and Breton amor they have continued to emerge throughout history to found glorious dynasties and intermingle occasionally with 'foreign' Saxon cultures.

Highland Press is a new small book press dedicated to quality Historical Fiction and Historical Romance. Coming in Spring of 2006 "No Law Against Love Anthology" and in August 2006 PaganHeart by DeborahAnne MacGillivray.

Historically, the Grand Design was an emigration scheme circa 1741 with the goal of bringing about 200 Scots-Irish Presbyterians to Philadelphia. The ship, called Martha & Eliza, left Londonderry, Northern Ireland in July, but encountered a storm which disabled the masts. In November, after drifting about 10 weeks in the North Atlantic, they were cast on the desolate shore of Grand Manan Island, now part of New Brunswick, Canada.
