Hey! But France is full of Celtic stuffs! I know plenty of sites, and okay, even if Britanny is the stronghold of Celtic culture in France there are many places to visit! Je suis un étudient de la Suède, qui aime les langues, et maintenat j'étudie francais, anglais, allemand et espagnole! Je cherche un person qui parle francais, Je vous écrive en francais, et vous me écrives an anglais! Maybe we can write about Celtic culture and other stuffs! I love Riverdance, and I always listen to Capercaillie, as well as celtic folk!!! I study Scottish Gaelic and I think it's soooooooo fun!

A bientôt!

Eiric!

Welcome to our little world, Justine!

A couple of years ago I was in Pont L'Abbe on a painting trip with a group of artists, and I'll always remember seeing Celtic designs on the ancient doorway at a church there in the little town... I later found out that there really was a wider-spread Celtic influence even into France than I had ever known about.

Have you ever listened to the Corrs? They are Irish and have a wonderful mix of pop and traditional Irish sounds. Check them out, you might like them!

Susan

Failte/bienvenu, Justine!

The whole of northern France (le pays de mes ancêtres, pas loin de Cherbourg) is nordic and celtic, don't let 'em tell you it's not. No place on that coast that didn't have a bad case of invading longboats. Va-t'en, chérie, go look in the mirror -- that twinkle in your pretty eyes, that's a viking looking out of the left and a gael in the right. wink.gif

A belated welcome to you, justine! So glad you found us! The music here is indeed wonderful, and the people are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net! By the way, I moderate the both the Brittany and Celtic Languages forums and would love to have you come in and take a look around over there! I also am a student of Scottish Gaelic! And I msut say I think you are doing VERY well with your English! Keep up the good work!

Welcome to the family my friend!

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle
Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.
