The kids are all gone, the dishes are washed and put away, there are no bills to pay, no where you have to be, you have your health, the sun is shining with no rain (or snow) on the horizon, the world is at peace.
Everything is perfect! Now, what do you want to do?
What is your happy place? What would make you calm and at peace?
sitting in the sunshine in the backyard with a new book, my hubby beside me and all of my kids well and whole playing around us. (I say well and whole, because Wally, our 8 year old, got his forearms broken yesterday at school, and it's killing me to see him with those da** casts on him!)
Hmmm....I would either be reading a book, or outside doing something like looking at the stars or gardening, or just watching ants go by in the dirt while soaking up the sun.

Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter. Lullabies, dreams and love ever after. A thousand welcomes when anyone comes... That's the Irish for You!
I have a very happy place that is far up north close to the Canadian border. It's beautiful when the leaves are changing and I feel a great peacefulness there. I hope I'll get another chance to visit there this year and this time I'll take time to walk around the lakes and sit and enjoy the sunshine....
My happy place is a pub in a small town in the Scottish Highlands. There's a pint glass sitting in front of me, half-filled with some brown ale. The mood in the pub is jovial.
I hope to physically go to that happy place when I take a trip to Scotland.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
We have a cove on our property that we built a wooden deck and put in a small pond with a waterfall. It is surrounded by dogwoods, redbuds and foliage natural to the area. There are all kinds of birds. My husband and I like to sit there together with the dogs lying at our feet. It is a very peaceful spot. In fact, our daughter was married in our cove on a spring afternoon when the trees were in full flower. It was a beautiful ceremony.
My happy place is....sitting on a river bank listening to the water rush by. Very relaxing and I try to get down to the river I go to as often as I can!

I go back to our woods and sit by the stream with a book. The horse grazes in an open area just a few feet away. The cat sits at my feet and I listen to the birds and the breeze. One day I was sitting with my book and I heard the sound of many a foot step in the brush behind me. They stopped. Something snorted, then took off in another direction. I went in the direction I thought they were going and caught up to them just as they were leaping over the fence. Two big beautiful deer. They had run up right behind me and I was so still and quiet they didn't know I was there untill I was right in front of them. It really had my heart racing with excitement.
