Celtic Radio Community > General Discussion > RIP Herrerano

One of the earliest members of Celtic Radio, going back to 2003, has passed away. On here, he was known as Herrerano but his real name was Leo Ross. Leo passed away in July 2011 from a heart attack.

Leo was a retired Army helicopter pilot, that ran covert missions in South America, fighting against the drug traffickers heading for the States. We affectionately called him "double rotor" because of the helicopter he flew. After Leo retired from the Army, he loved South America so much, he moved to Panama, married and remained there till his death.

A good handful of the early CR members had remained in touch with Leo over the years. Phone calls, letters, e-mails back and forth. Friendships remained till the end.

RIP Leo. We miss you and your stories.
