I think gaelic storm is a very good group. Sure they fit in at a pub more easily than a concert hall but they are a leading example of how a group can blend trad. Irish music with new songs. Visit there website, they've got some songs there you can listen to http://www.gaelicstorm.com

My wife and I are big Gaelic Storm fans. We're hoping to be able to see them in concert at some point. They have some fun and energetic music.

Normally I find that Featured groups suck a bit but... Gaelic Storm are great!!!

I really like them. Aye, true that the're doing traditional folk, and not their own songs, but they play with a great style!

It the best featured artist I listen to round here, with difference.

Gaelic Storm was the band that introduced me to the trad music scene. They have a great style and energy and humor. They are excellent in concert . . . I saw them on St. Patrick's day about two years ago in Chicago's House of Blues and they were so much fun. I can truly say they are just as good, if not better in person as they are recorded (this says a lot since their albums are wonderful). I highly recommend seeing one of their concerts or purchasing one of their albums if you never have heard them before.

I definitely enjoyed the Gaelic Storm set that just recently played. I hadn't heard anything off of their newest albem yet, but it was a pleasant surprise. The song material has evolved a bit from the past albums, but they still have the same lovable style. tongue.gif

Gaelic Storm is going to be performing at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival again this year. I saw them last year and they were awesome. I won'tb e able to see them this year though cause I am going home for a week to babysit my brothers and sisters cause my mom and dad are going to DC. for their wedding anniversary. Oh well. It's my gift to them, plus I haven't seen my family in a LONG time. Anyway that point of this is that I love Gaelic storm.

You won't be disappointed with the "live" music from the guys. Their newest CD is well worth the money due to the diverse sounds that they're working with this time. Track 7 is a cross between their traditional roots, and a night with Jimmy Buffett. Lyrics... "she wants a Pina Colada in a pint glass" should give you an idea.

GREAT music... great guys.

I love that song! It's very catchy . . . I've had it in my head for the past couple of days and I think I've been driving my roommate nuts singing it all the time! I'm sure this box.gif is what she wants to do to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing them perform here in town, and excited to see another album out as well. If you do get a chance to see them live, you must hear Abbey Set and another instrumental they were doing called Jessies' Tunes. Ryan gets going on the cajon and it's definitely a crowd pleaser! smile.gif thumbs_up.gif
