I joined the Celtic Radio Community on July 28th 2011, and it's taken me until now to pluck up the courage to write something... I'm from Glasgow, Scotland. I write and record ambient and Celtic-inspired instrumentals, some of which you can find here on Highlander and Celtic Moon... I am addicted to watching cricket on TV. I have two cats, and I'm not as young as I used to be. I guess that pretty well sums up the current state of play...
I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know you guys.
Hi WestendPatrick, It's always fun to meet someone from the otherside of the pond. I don't believe I've heard your music yet, but I'll be looking for it! As for the rest, the only sport I like is surfing(just watching) & no pets at the moment, but we are cat people. Today I'm feeling rather young despite the fact that Jim & I will be married 50 yrs next week - it's all in your mind.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my introduction...It's great to speak with someone from your side of the pond, too. I appreciate you getting back to me and helping me break the ice...
I hope you have a lovely time celebrating your amazing achievement when it comes.

Hello and welcome, WestendPatrick, from the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. Glad that you decided to say hello to everyone. It's a pretty friendly bunch of folks that inhabit these forums. No matter where you are from, we like to think of this as a big family that happens to love all things Celtic! Hope to see you post often.
Welcome aboard and have a great day!

Thank you for your thoughtful and encouraging welcome. I'm looking forward to meeting, and getting to know, new people, with a shared interest in Celtic music...
Greetings from another Celtic music lover. I tuned into this site and now rarely listen to anything else. Hope things are going well in Sunny Scotland. I'm not familiar with the climate in your neck of the woods. Is it truly sunny there?
I, too, love this site for the exposure it gives to Celtic music and musicians. I'm afraid I don't get to listen as often as I'd like, thanks to work and other commitments. I have to confess to romanticising things a little when I described Scotland as "sunny". Unfortunately, it's generally cloudy, grey, wet, drab and cold most days... We even had hailstones just yesterday! When the sun does come out, the transformation is spectacular, revealing one of the most scenically beautiful places on earth. But that doesn't happen nearly often enough for my liking. Apart from that, things are going well here. I hope they're going well where you are, too...
