Music first: Heavy Metal, Classic Rock & Roll (late 60s to early 80s), the female voice (women singers of many genres), Celtic music, Progressive & Expirimental, Classical, Jazz. Usually in that order.
Fiction second: Horror, Fantasy, Crime and Military Science Fiction, usually in that order, or combinations of them; Poetry and Lyrics.
Non-Fiction: History of war, crime, music and the occult; Philosophy; Religion.
Then: Movies, TV, coffee and sleep.
My tastes run from the mudane to the exotic, and I am eccentrically eclectic in all things. That is to say, what I love - I treasure, and what displeases my sensibilities - I abhor. I'm also quite selective, i.e., just because I'm a great fan of Heavy Metal doesn't mean I like any, or every, group or piece that could be construed as Heavy Medal.
I like to be understood, and I tend to go to some lengths to articulate myself. "Bumper-Sticker" Mottos and Pop-Psych quips smack of social tryranny to me.
Despite these caveats, I do revel in conversation and exploration of interesting topics, and invite any offers on a worthwhile subject. However,I will not share my own, nor debate, or argue politics; for the sake of the general peace, as well as my own. I just came here to have a good time.
