"Each year, South Shore Irish Festival fills the Marshfield fairgrounds with the sights and sounds of the Emerald Isle. Two days of great music and family fun with over 20 musical guests. Festival is rain or shine."

To hear: a full lineup of Irish and Irish-American performers hits the stage.
The American Rogues, Joshua Tree performing both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday will also be headlined by Derek Warfield and The Young Wolf Tones and Sunday's headliner is Bagatelle. Other musical guests include Deirdre Reilly, Father Ray Kelly, Devri, Silver Spears, Tradition, Gohshites, Fenian Sons, Erin's Melody, Curragh's Fancy, Rare Old Times and more....

To see: Stop by to talk to the Lochlannach, a Viking Irish group who regale guests with the history of the Vikings in early medieval Ireland.
Modern Viking Culture, Craft, and Combat - "We are a diverse group of Viking-Age history enthusiasts focused on the culture of the Hiberno-Norse, the Vikings who first raided and then settled in Ireland in the ninth and tenth centuries. These Vikings played a huge role in Irish history, turning coastal villages into port towns and bringing Ireland onto the European trading scene, leaving a permanent stamp on Irish culture."

I would love to go there just by your description. It sounds great. Some time ago I visited the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and it was great. I have gone there for quite a few years now. I have family that lives up that way so the next time I visit them I will have to go around when South Shore Irish Festival is open.

I have been to many festivals (good and not so good) and we went last year and were pleasantly surprised.
Couple of stages of music, good talent, local and beyond. The "Irish Vikings" were fun and informative. Even had boxing with Ireland vs the USA boxers.

Going this year again. Looking at the weather and right now both days look great with 70's and sun.
