Caledonia would be one of mine.

Hard to argue with that one, Rindy. It's one of my favorites, also.
Mine probably changes from time to time. Probably the one I like the most right now is County Down. But it could change next month! This will be a good thread to check on the changing tastes of the masses that inhabit the forums!
Good post, Rindy! Have a great day!

As of right now, I would have to say " Airdaigh Cuain " by Deirdre Shannon. I am hooked on it and have looked up the words in English, but like it better sung the way it is
Ooh, there's a few contenders for that title in my book.
"You Raise Me Up" by Celtic Woman "Bonny Portmore" by Loreena McKennitt "The Trial of Lancelot" by Heather Dale "May It Be" by Enya "Irish Party In Third Class" from Titanic by Gaelic Storm "Beer, Beer, Beer" by The Clancy Brothers "The Unicorn Song" by The Irish Rovers "Whisky, You're The Divil" by The Dubliners

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Right now, I'd have to say "She moved through the Fair" Also a strong favorite, "Annachie Gordon" and "Dark night of the soul". These last two by Loreena McKennitt.
I too have a hard time choosing a favorite. Right now I'd have to say anything by Diedre Shannon. I really enjoy Whiskey in the Jar, too. It is a fun song and has been done so many different ways!!

Actually, my favorite version of "Whiskey In The Jar" is the one by Metallica .
"Rocks of Bawn" sung by Joe Heaney - who I had the opportunity to meet when I was in Ireland back in 1980. One of Ireland's great Seanachie singers and a very nice man too. My husband, also, does a wonderful job on the song.
2nd choice would be "Oro Mo Bhaidin" - I song that I have always loved and love to sing.
