2/2 - Experience the evocative music of Scotland and Ireland with the youthful interpretation of the Seán Heely Celtic Trio featuring US National Scottish Fiddle champion Seán Heely (who also plays mandocello, shruti box, and sings in English, Irish, and Scots Gaelic), acclaimed multi-instrumentalist (guitar, whistle, banjo) and All-Ireland singing champion, Kevin Elam, and Scottish great and border piper and whistle player Tracy Jenkins. The band also indulges in song and rich vocal harmonies in their solid repertoire of ballads, sea shanties, and songs in the Irish and Scottish folk traditions. www.seanheely.com/sen-heely-celtic-trio

2/9 - Lilt brings an evening of trad Irish music. Tina Eck on flute, whistles and occasional vocals, and Keith Carr (bouzouki, banjo, guitar), will be accompanied by Footworks principal dancer, Agi Kovacs, for a magical evening of dance and Irish dance tunes. www.liltirishmusic.com

2/16 - Karen Ashbrook and Paul Oorts (KAPO) bring their magical interpretations of Celtic and Belgian music back to the Brogue. Karen has been one of the most admired exponents of the hammered dulcimer in the world, and is also a fine flute/whistle player. Belgian born Paul is a string wizard, adding bouzouki, harp guitar, mandolin, plus some concertina and the stray song to the mix. www.karenashbrook.com/performer/ensembles.html

2/23 - Beth Patterson Paxton! You know her as the bouzouki queen of New Orleans, not to mention singer/songwriter, somewhat crazy humorist, author, and all around entertainer. Beth's trad oriented sets at the Brogue bring the crowd to its feet: she is a master, and a good friend to the series. bethpattersonmusic.com/bio

3/1 - Al Petteway and Amy White again need little introduction! They have long been favorites, with their eclectic repertoire that includes original, traditional, contemporary Celtic and Appalachian-influenced music, with occasional nods to Blues, New Age, and Jazz, all over the DC metro area. Their performances feature acoustic guitar, mandolin, Celtic harp, piano, banjo, mountain dulcimer, and some of the finest vocals you'll hear in any genre. www.alandamy.com

3/8 - IONA, one of the leading pan-Celtic bands in the world! Since 1986, IONA has transported audiences to Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Mann, Brittany, Asturies and Galicia, and explores the Celtic cultures of the New World. Founders lead singer, bouzouki and bodhrán player and pieds exponent, Barbara Tresidder Ryan, and Bernard Argent on wooden flute, whistles, vocals and percussion, are joined by Chuck Lawhorn on bass guitar, whistles and vocals, Jim Queen, fiddle, banjo and vocals, and dancer Joe Duffey, Riverdance and Lord of the Dance veteran.
