I have a new tree that is all pre-wired and folds out like a umbrella. Takes about 15 minutes to put it up!

My days of all natural are only if someone is gonna carry it in and put it in the stand for me!!!

I prefer a real one but these days it's not possible.

We got our tree yesterday. IT'S HUGE! laugh.gif Cost us $85 though. ohmy.gif I blame Ange for that one. I tried getting a tree a week and a half ago, then again a week ago. She kept putting it off, and we ended up driving all over town to find ONE place that still had trees. By the price tag, I'm sure he knew it too. dry.gif

Anyway, not a blue spruce, but a Balsam Fir. It smells about right, and is extremelly full. So far I just have the Angel on top but it should be done tonight. smile.gif (now just to get started on my Christmas shopping wink.gif )

Welp...my husband braved the snow and the cold to get us a tree yesterday. Kudos to my darling mate.

Then he puts it in water to give it a good drink. And leaves it out on the porch. It hit zero here last night. He then goes out onto the porch today to bring the tree in and we have...a treecicle.

...any questions? It's funny, but I could cheerfully strangle him right now. LOL The girls have been bugging me to put it up.

I managed the impossible. I got Ange to help decorate the tree this year. smile.gif A bit of tinsel to fill in the gaps, and she'll be done. I also decorated the fireplace and window last night. We saw A Christmas Carol at the Citadel Theatre on sunday night, so now I'm full out waiting for Santa. laugh.gif

Too bad I'm sick as a dog though. sad.gif When you have zero energy but you find yourself continuing to decorate, does that leave you will negative energy? unsure.gif

That is a funny story but I can see why you would be upset. Get out the hairdryer. LOL laugh.gif May be this will make it last longer.

Merry Christmas, darlin'. LOL The tree is UP! Woot! With only a little bit of screaming and swearing. I'll get the lights on tonight, but the ornaments will have to wait, else there'll be a rugrat revolt. Whew!

Haldur,

That is awful that your tree broke. Can you save the top or something? I guess like you said Christmas will go on.

Hope you have a Merry one
