This made the British national newspapers as well. I read about this in The Independent. It's interesting but I have qualms over these archaic hereditary sytems. I'm not the biggest fan of US politics but I think that the Declaration of Independence got it right - how does it go,

"...all Men are created equal... Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed..."

Though I support Elizabeh II, I am in favour of eventually abolishing all forms of hereditary and feudal systems.
