these are the violin players form Lord Of The Dance .
I have searched the internet but couldn't find any info about these two women or any cd's with their music or music from Lord Of The Dance.

If you get the idea what I'm looking for please post the CD-titles / artist names.
Music similar to that of the violin players from LOTD is also welcome.

The top photo is Mairead Nesbitt. So far I can't find who the bottom photo is. I'll keep looking!

Lunasa - Lunasa's website

All instrumental!!

Read the following reviews:

?Ireland?s newest ?supergroup??the hottest Irish acoustic band on the planet.? - IRISH VOICE. ?An amazing new instrumental quintet?state-of-the-art Irish music as aggressively infectious as you?ll ever hear.? - DIRTY LINEN. ?Lúnasa?s musicianship is awesome ? I?d sell my soul to be able to play like that? ? MOJO; ?Lúnasa ,,, have catapulted both themselves and the music onto another plane where creative juices (and not precious entanglements with the past) reign supreme.? ? THE IRISH TIMES

I like all of their recordings but their second CD, "Otherworld" is still my favourite.

These artist are truely masters of their talent, but I consider 'Leahy' to be in the catagory of Legendary.

I highly reccomend this link to NPR's "Thistle & Shamrock" radio show website. Fionna Ritchie is a great source of background info, news, interviews, and links to the websites of a host of great Celtic music.

As for good fiddle playing, try Catriona MacDonald from Shetland. Her latest cd is titled Bold and is available from compass records.

She is currently part of the "Blazin Fiddles" project. Some of the best players around right now. Although there is so much talent in the Celtic arena that I think it might be hard to say that one is better than any other.

Enjoy,

Umm, something looks wrong with that link I put in there. Try cutting off everything after thistle. The site is easy to maneuver around, just look for the connections link.

Sorry.
