Finally, the long awaited featured artist database has been completed! I can't begin to tell you what a huge programming undertaken this section of the site has been. It centralizes and combines so much information into one location. I really believe that it just maybe a 1 of a kind database for Celtic musicians.
The very cool thing is that it dynamically produces all of the content. All we have to do is enter the musician information and the code and database automatically produces the webpages.
Ok, enough bragging......
I would really appreciate if a few people would test it out and see if any errors occur or if I have missed anything. The database can be accessed from the Radio Tools menu and from the mainpage.
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Paul, Checked it out and everything worked fine. Actually as I am typing this, The Trial of Lancelot is playing on CR. . This is a great feature! Is there more interviews or chats coming with the artists? I love this station and website! Keep up the great work!! Nikki

Looks great so far =) the links to select the comments, reviews, etc... need to be a little clearer that they don't take you to a seperate page. I find myself hitting hte back button to get back to the main page for the artist, only to find myself back at the main list. Nice though =) I definately need to get used to this being here!
I must be missing something. I tried doing a search, and every time it came up empty. I'm going to start pulling my hair out. My pc must just not speak American.
*edit* Nevermind. I just realised there are only three in there so far.

First, there is only 3 musicians in the featured artist database right now. We have about 4-5 more to add from our old site and many more to add in the future. We have probably received about 80 media kits in the past year, so we have alot of work to do to get caught up - although - not every artist that we receive a CD and mediakit will be placed in the artist database.
Second, about making the links clearer. Good suggestion. We used the collapse/expand approach because sometimes there just might be more content than is acceptable to have on one page. We will think about the best way to make this clear. Any suggestions?

A frames - like concept comes to mind, but then frames are evil. I'm imagining something where the links themselves are off alone on the left, and the text comes up just to the right of it. would be all the better to do so without messing with the rest of the page's layout. Two ways of doing this come to mind right off, neither sounds very appealing to me. one would be a java app that is embedded in that part of the web page, and the other is to have seperate generated pages for each link. That sounds messy though. Maybe I'll be able to come up with some better ideas when my brain is functioning again. Been recieving information overload at work for the last 3 weeks.
