I caught this on a ticker tape this afternoon on a local news station. So in fact Guiness is really good for a body!!!

beer_mug.gif A daily pint of dark beer such as Guinness may work as well as an aspirin in helping to prevent heart attacks, said researchers at the American Heart Association meeting in the US this week. beer_mug.gif beer_mug.gif

I'm not saying that anyone on aspirin therapy should stop and down a pint of Guinness, talk to your dr. first and get his expert advise!

I just read that all beer had a tendency to dilate arteries and would thus possibly be a preventative for that reason alone. They recommended just two a day. sad.gif

I had heard "old timers", which I am now one, tout the benefits of dark beer. We used to get it here just in the spring. I never had enough to develop a taste for it though now I think it was a less refined taste than Guiness.

I am glad that medicine seems to be moving in the right direction.

But did they specify pints, quarts, six packs, kegs or barrels? biggrin.gif beer_mug.gif
