Just did a bit of research, and found a local (20 minute drive), though small, event in my area TODAY. Yes, today... when I will be working 10 hours! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

I imagine that this is not news to regulars, but if you are new like me, there is a pretty comprehensive event listing at www.Maclachlans.org

hmmmmm... have not posted using codes on this board yet... hope that worked...

Anyway... maybe I can get there before they clean up this evening.... rolleyes.gif

The music, the vendors and the bagpipes...all contribute to a great outing. The food, the sites, the people. It's all great, and now that Spring is here and the season's upon us...I can't wait!

I think I said this already, but I am attending the Scottish Highland games in July up in Flagstaff, Arizona. Get to see the Wicked Tinkers there.............woo hoo!

Although I love most everything that there is to see and hear at our local Highlander Festival (at Radford University in Vriginia every October), I have to say that I would still go if there was nothing else to see but the vendors! I love walking around and looking at all of the fascinating things I wish I could afford to buy! smile.gif

Toughie...

Concerts (Shrule can back me up on this..Celtic Classic always has great bands)

Massed Bands

Any sort of 'tasting'...(makes the bands sound better)

vendors (especially if they are vending yummy adult beverages)
