Hey Carolina Scotsman,
"Fly fishing is not a life or death matter. It is far more important than that." That is a very true statement. I also think of it as the "Quiet Sport". There is so much to behold and be aware of it just brings out the joy in me. And thanks for the tip of the Site, I will have to check that one out.
Val Pal,
Sorry to hear about you Labs. If your Labs were anything like my old Lab, she just loved the water. That would be kind of messy when your trying to fish though. I had my Lab for 14 years and after she died I said I would never have another dog. Well, Never say Never. Nine years after my Lab I got a Jack Russell and now I have had her for 9 years and she is still going strong. I don't think you can stop them because they are so full of energy.
Now for my Fishing Report today. My new rod worked wonderfully for me. It was even better than I had hoped for with the Silk Line. I was out for only an hour but it took every thing I had. I was soaked from head to toe and it didn't rain and I did not fall in. (LOL) It was just down right HOT!!! I don't think that my Neoprene Waders help much in that matter either. The river was low, I never saw the first rise and I never saw the first Trout. Plenty of Chubs but no Trout. |

Val,
Instead of having your Hubby jealous, why not taking him fishing, unless he prefers to be out alone like I do.
And Rindy,
I hope your local Fly Shop has something for you. I am always glad to be of service.
See you all on the River. |

My Wife and I just watched "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" tonight with David Niven and Doris Day. It is still a good movie but I would rather watch some of those older ones than some of these new things they call movies. The other night I watched "The Maltese Falcon" with Humphrey Bogart and tomorrow I am shooting for "Lawrence of Arabia" with Peter O'Tool. |
