I am in the midst of adding a new feature when posting messages. Basically the idea is for a little popup box with the common Gaelic characters available for insert. This will make it easier and more accurate when writing in Gaelic.

Its not working now, but should be completed in a few days. Let me know your feedback, if we need to add more Gaelic characters.

I am also going to have a Gaelic Proverb with english translation somewhere on the site. I have about 100 of these and will be taking requests for additional proverbs if you know any!

I hope these will support your wonder Celtic Language forum you have going on here! Good job to all of thoses participating and to our excellent Forum Host - WizardofOwls! thumbs_up.gif

(Wizard blushes from head to toe) Thanks for the kind words, Macfive!

We DO have a great group of people here, don't we?

The popup box sounds like a GREAT idea! Should be a great help to those who can't make accents on their keyboards!

Thanks for all of tho hard work you put in here for us!

The Gaelic Symbol help box is now working. It was actually a little easier than I thought.

It is located below the clickable smiles next to the 'Post Length' and 'BB Code' links. It is called 'Gaelic'.

Click it and a box will open with some Gaelic Symbols that can be clicked to enter in the text box. I just move the box over to the side, so I can see my text, and then click the letters to enter.

If someone could review the symbols and let me know if they are appropriate since I am not well versed in the Gaelic symbols needed. Also, if there are other symbols you would like that I have neglected, then please let me know and we can easily add them!

Okay Paul, I tried all of the symbols and all of them are working except Á which gives è (as you can see above).

This is all we need for Scottish Gaelic, but I don't know about the Irish, Welsh and other languages. If we have any other needs, I'll be sure and let you know!

Thanks again! smile.gif
