Wow... I've been researching on a lotta different topics for my initial discussions with andylucy, regarding the Sabbath, 'Sola Scriptura', the Crusades etc... book.gif, but now... I'm lost for words. What I've been digging up on the Vatican has made feel quite sick.

I just hope those who place their loyalty and lives in the hands of the Vatican and its doctrines read everything on the following link, hosted by 'Former Catholics For Christ'. A 3 part article series on 'Sola Scriptura' is also featured on this link.

http://www.cuttingedge.org/articles/rome.cfm

I hope to God that folk will finally realise what the Vatican is really all about.

Sure, some may just wave it off as propaganda, but please take the time to read it carefully, and then judge for yourselves whether it is indeed propaganda... or undeniable proof.

I somehow believe those other topics could now become irrelevant.

I think that this is a bunch of hooey, perpetuated by fearmongers who left the Catholic Church after Vatican II. They are trying to convince people that they will be surrounded by hellfire and brimstone unless they reject the Vatican II doctrines and drive the Church back into the Dark Ages.

...you think??... I've looked into all the references cited on that link, and they stack up, and I've done enuff study into Biblical prophecy and I've read enuff published material to know that these folk are stating facts. I've seen the Vatican for what it really is for a number of years now.

When are people gonna open their eyes? It staggers me, it really does. Oh, well, rather you than me, sunshine.

Maybe this link is also the same sorta hooey;

Besides, nobody has to drive the Vatican back into the Dark Ages, because it's already gone back there, of its own accord.

I couldn't believe my eyes whilst reading this! Who are these priests that believe they can COMMAND Christ to humbly bow His Head and descend from Heaven to be sacrificed on their altars... again and again and again and again and again...??!!

This is blasphemy!! Am I the only one that's outraged at this??!!

BTW - has anybody noticed the inverted cross on the back of these chairs that the Pope uses?? Is it just a memorial to Peter the Apostle's death? Or something else?

I doubt it's satanism because there's too many upright crosses around in cath. churches and the vatican itself (been there)

Hey Kiwi. I feel ya. But a person who is a true Catholic will defend the church to the end. That is what faith is. Never mind facts, statistics and the reality of any number of issues. To them, if you are correct, that would blow their faith to, well errr hell. People(some) need the comfort of a belief system, and see any attack on it as an attack on them, their intelligence etc...Who would want to belong to such a loving church that says everyone who is not one of them (a Catholic) is going to hell when they die? Someone once said religion was the opiate of the masses........well........

That's too bad. Maybe if you would read EVERYTHING about Catholicism, instead the ranting and raving of some seriously unbalanced people, maybe you would have a little more accurate view of what Roman Catholicism is all about.

I read as much as I could, but severe shuddering laughter is not good for me right now, and that is the only way to approach the bigoted material you are presenting. What I find amazing is that if someone put up a website that ripped Blacks, or Hispanics, or Jews in a like manner, it would be immediately protested. But put up a blatantly abusive anti-Catholic site, and it is OK, because it's just Catholics that are being excoriated. Pfui!!

Yeah, me too. It is about preparing humanity for Heaven. That's it. Nothing else. We only differ in the method or approach.

Well, from what I have read, it is undeniably proof of propaganda.

Just my tuppence.

Geez, bringing Cephas Ministries into this? Why not Chick Publications as well, as they are on about the same level?

I tell you what. Read this article. It is a beginner's guide to eucharistic theology. Use the same open mind you use when reading the blatantly bigoted anti-Catholic propaganda that you have posted here.

Please. Let's not strain credibility.

Psssstttt. The Vatican effectively controls approximately .87 acres, including the Vatican City State and Castel Gandolfo. All other Catholic controlled property is the actual property of the dioceses, not the Vatican.

The United States of America owns 728.8 million acres. wink.gif

Just my tuppence.
