I spent the night looking over new messages and events coming from in from Medjugorje (an appartion site) in another forum when I came across this video. Looks like I have to check out Godtube more often. Maybe they have a Celtic section on there. Anyway, its posted on the website and has had quite a few hits to it already. The music is by Lifehouse and it has been one of the few videos that brings the gospel to life so clearly, brought a few tears to my eyes, helped me to refocus during a difficult time, and to put things in prespective about the meaning of love. But enough of my babble-here's the video and I hope you enjoy it.
God Bless

Well it seems the title of the post was changed but that's okay. I was hoping for a place to post Christian videos especially Celtic ones but since the topic title is Medjugorje I may as well say something about it. It may turn into something to discuss. Roman Catholics probably already know about this apparition site but most people of other faiths don't. I know I never heard about it and the many other apparition sites in the world untill I turned Catholic.
Anyway Medjugorje is according to one website is a town in Bosnia/Yugoslavia? where "On June 24, 1981, at about 6pm, six young parishioners from Medjugorje: Ivanka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic, Ivan Dragicevic, Ivan Ivankovic and Milka Pavlovic, saw on the hill Crnica (on the place called Podbrdo) an apparition, a white form with a child in her arms. Surprised and scared, they did not approach.

The next day at the same time, June 25, 1981, four of them, Ivanka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic and Ivan Dragicevic, felt strongly drawn towards the place where, the day before, they saw the One who they had recognised as Our Lady. Marija Pavlovic and Jakov Colo joined them. The group of Medjugorje visionaries was formed. They prayed with Our Lady and talked to Her. From that day onward, they had daily apparitions, together or separately. Milka Pavlovic and Ivan Ivankovic have never seen Our Lady any more. "

I would like to add that this apparition is not yet church approved since it has not yet ended and there is a bit of a conflict (supposedly) between the Fransiscans that run the parish and the local Bishop over such approval. There is a monthly message from Mary posted each month as well as individual messages for the visionaries. Most of the messages are about prayer, fasting, repentance, and peace.

Wow - I've never heard of GodTube! I'm going to check it out. With a slow dial-up connection at home, logging onto sites like that is nearly impossible but I'll check it out when I'm at the library.

Thanks, man. Enjoyed the account of the vision too.

I went to school with a girl whose family made a pilgrimage to Medjugorje.

I'd like to do that someday along with pilgrimages to other Marian sites, like Fatima, Guadalupe and Loretto.

A pilgrimage is something that I've been wanting to do for years but I can never save up any money for it. Fatima, Knock, and Medjugore would be at the top of the list. Loudes, maybe. i would love to see some of the unusual things that are happening at Medjugorje. The book by Wayne Weible really helped me with alot of issues I had during my conversion to RC. There's some stuff on Youtube but it seems that whenever someone films something unusual they can never get a decent picture or keep the camera straight. I guess Godtube was the fastest rowing website last year but they still have alot of the usual anticatholics posting messages on whats wrong with the church (its full of sinnners, duh) and how we can be saved from RC but I guess that comes with the territory

Found a nice article on Natalie MacMaster where she takes about her faith and the couple times she has been to Medjugorje
