this is a mixture of The Visit and The Mask and the Mirror
just one more...Elemental, then I got all studio albums

I don't have any word to describe how good is it...just can't wait to listen right after found and purchased the CD from circuit city, since I don't bring portable CD player, I just play it right away on my laptop

I always trust Loreena's products

Parallel Dreams was my introduction to Loreena McKennitt. I remember playing the mp3 when I found it in my Brother-in-Law's collection and falling in love by the end of the first measure. I forget now rather it was Samain Night or Mood Cradle I selected. Great CD! My favorite track on that CD would probably have to be Dickens' Dublin (The Palace)... Track 6

I love Loreena's music, she and Moya Brennan are my favourite female artists.

On Parallel Dreams I love Huron 'Beltane' Fire Dance and Ancient Pines, as well as Dickens Dublin - actually I like the whole album!

I've got "The Visit" and "Book of Secrets" but I'm not familier with "Parallel Dreams". How is it? I love the other two.

i have her "live in paris and toronto" album it was done from the book of secrets tour in 98..... tis a two CD set only complaint is she is doing "the highwayman" a bit to fast at least in the intro it is almost a march compared to the slow and lilting way she does it in the book of secrets.... but everything else is top notch nigel eaton is playing hurdy gurdy (yea hurdy gurdy).... of course that probably dont mean much to anyone not familar with the instrument but he is arguably the best ...... and IMHO the photographer should be shot.... very unflattering pictures of the woman.... note.gif note.gif

oh these dvd copies does that mean they include the videos of the songs... the mummers dance video is a real kicker.

If they include the videos, then I'll definately have to get them! I've already asked Quinlan Road a couple times about how to get a copy of them. I like the video to "The Bonny Swans" better than "The Mummer's Dance" though smile.gif Both are good. But then we don't expect anything less than stellar from Lorenna now do we smile.gif I'll have to start saving up.

Parallel Dreams Was my introduction to Lady McKennitt, per my post above. I fell in love by the end of the first verse. Samain Night, Dickens' Dublin, Breaking the Silence, Huron (Beltane) Fire Dance.... Quite a list of great tracks. Add to that the fact that Parallel Dreams and Celtic Pride Vol1 were my introduction to Celtic Music and well.... I'm here aren't I smile.gif And hopelessly head over heels in love with the music.

Parallel Dreams is a wonderful album! I also have The Visit, Mask and Mirror, Book of Secrets. I still need Elemental, To Drive the Cold Winter Away, The Live album, and Four For a Winter's Night( I think that's wha it is called, anyway.) I like Moon Cradle too. There is another song I like too, but can't think of its name just now. Its about a girl who is betrothed to a man she doesn't love.

"Anachie Gordon", and the other one you're thinking of is her EP A Winter Garden : 5 songs for the season. It and To Drive the Cold Winter Away are both seasonal music. Seasonal music unlike any other CHristmas album I've ever heard smile.gif Absolutely wonderful.

That sounds like Annachie Gordon, a tragic song but beautiful.

That's it! Thanks for reminding me, fellas! You reminded me just how much I like that album so I had to dig it out and listen to it again today! Beautiful! I don't think there is a song on it that I don't like!
