I have instructed my family, should it fall to them, that these are all to be played at my funeral. "Amazing Grace" is to be played, by a bagpiper, at the graveside service.

Yep. Ten year convert. Went through an angonizing decision process to get there too. But it's been worth it. Great stuff is happening! Found a site the other day that plays Catholic rap music. Unbelievable.
And ditto on the pipes being played although I may include an Enya song somewhere in there.

Isn't it amazing how us Catholics are the largest single Christian denomination, yet all the hymn CDs are mainly Protestant hymns? I looked through my library system's database (my library participates in a reciprocating agreement between suburban libraries) and could not find one CD of all Catholic hymns.
We had a conference at our church this weekend sponsored by Voice of the Martyrs and at the end of the service today (Sunday) we sang "The church's one foundation". WEll, it has always been one of my favorites, but singing the entire hymn after hearing and seeing what the persecuted church is suffering, it has taken on a whole new meaning. Wow, what a hymn!
Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won. O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee.
Be Thou My Vision (seems to be the standing favourite) Faith of Our Fathers When I Survey the Wondrous Cross Abide With Me Victory in Jesus Days of Elijah
