Hey all! As some of you already know, I am an 18th century re-enactor. I know this is kind of late, but for those of you in Arizona or nearby states who might like to attend, we are having our annual American Heritage Festival this weekend.

Eras from the Bronze age to WWII will be covered. My group, The 1745 Jacobite Society (cause we do this time period as well) will be doing the American Revolution. There will be battle re-enactments as well as camps where the public can see and learn what life was like in each era. Friday is school day and we will be given the delightful task of teaching "living history" to them. I did this event last year and had a blast. For those of you who are interested, here is the link to the event. I am also part of the We Make History group.

I will try to provide some photos when I return home after Sunday night.

Take care!

I finally got my pics together to show you from last weekend's American Heritage event. Once again, my group did the 18th century. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Oh well, thank you guys! I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed them. We only do this event one time a year, every November. I put together a photo album that covers both 2005 and 2006. It is a three day event and the Friday is for school days only. I had never seen so many kids in my life! But it was wonderful sharing the truth about American history with both them and their teachers. so much what is written in history books and has been contains a lot of myth. So it is fun and the kids get to see "living history" which is very visual and kids as well as adults can learn from all the most. Many thanks again!

Well, it is getting about that time of year again. November 16-18, 2007, I'll be participating in the RevWar. This is our huge event every year as all periods in history are done and people come from all over. If you all are in this area, come check us out!

Late in reporting about our recent event. From colonial times to Desert Storm, it was probably one of the best living history events of the year for me. I look most forward to this one every year anyway. There were re-enactors/living history enthusiasts who participated in Arizona from different parts of the country, but even out of the country as far as Taiwan! It was a great time had by all. School days are exhausting but fun. We get to show the kids visually what life was like back then and there are always many questions to answer. I portray a maid to French allies during the American Revolution.

I took altogether over 1000 photos from the three day event, but narrowed down to 327 for the below photo album. And that was hard to do because there was so much I wanted to share, but who wants to look at 1000 photos let alone 327? Even then I might add some back. rolleyes.gif

Hope you enjoy the photos.
