Wow! Oldraven! That is about as adorable as you can get and magnificent photography! I am a bit of a doggy freak myself. Will have to post a pic or two of my dogs too that I have taken. In the meantime, here is another dog portrait commission.
Desertrose, not even close. I only take pictures for myself. It's a hobby. Got tinkering with the Nikon digital from work, and it snowballed from there. Now I can't take a picture unless it takes a good five minutes to setup. I've never tried entering contests or exibits, because I'm just nowhere near that level yet. I know the basics, and have an eye for framing, but there's so much to learn before you can become a pro.
Thanks for the boost in confidence though.

Angel! Love the red sunset. You are so creative. You must have quiet an imagination!
OldRaven -- What????????????? You have never entered a contest or sold your work? Now, this is a hint! Get your work out there. I have done many art shows for many years and I have seen a lot of good photography, but yours surpasses a lot of what I have seen!.....really! This isn't BS I am giving here. Get your work out and let others enjoy it as well. I am sure you will reap many benefits once you do.
WEll you know OldRaven? To be honest with you, I have done the business part of my art and it really took the enjoyment out of it. It was very hard work, a lot of time spent in marketing and selling yourself. Very draining. Probably why I am so burned out in my artwork today and have been for a year! So what I am saying is that you are better off doing what you love most and enjoying the hobby part of it. Cause once you try to make it into a business, the enjoyment really goes out of it. So just keep sharing it with us here so we can all drool with pleasure!
Absolutely awesome, OldRaven! It is so very beautiful work. Thanks for sharing. Photography was always my first love and I appreciate the work involved in it. I still do it and still use my old Canon AE1. Can you believe that? But it works just as good today as it did the first day I bought it -- what 30 years ago now?
Also, my username got changed to CelticRose, but I am still the same person!
Nice looking camera, OldRaven! The thing I like about the old cameras is that they are practically indestructable. I mean, my Canon SLR has been dropped I don't know how many times and it just keeps on going and going....
haven't invested in a digital.....yet. But hope to one day. The one I want is very expensive.
Old Raven your photo work is very nice...have you ever done anything professionally.. what type of camera did you start with? Lens? Put more of your pictures on, they are nice. Annabelle
