Cha chuala mi an litir bheag, ach leugh mi e! I didn't hear the little letter, but I read it!
Bha mi cho thoilichte! I was so pleased!
I understood all but maybe two or three words without resorting to the dictionaries! It made me feel like all of this hard work is starting to pay off! Of course I know that it was geared toward beginners, but this let me know that I'm not a beginner anymore!

Slàn agus beannachd, Allen R. Alderman
'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama. Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.
Cha toigh leam a' gearr an fheur! I don't like cutting the grass!
Tha mi a' smaoineachadh gum biodh e na b' fheàrr a sgriobhadh- I think it would be better to write-
Cha toigh leam a bhith a' geàrradh an fheòir After words like 'cutting', 'making', 'fixing', 'eating' etc. Any following definitive noun must go into the genitive. So you are literally saying 'cutting of the grass' - a' geàrradh an fheòir opening (of) the door - a' fosgladh an dorais Playing (of) the pipes - a' cluich na pioba
Dè do bheachd a Fhaileas? Am bheil sin ceart?
Tha sin ceart .
Hallo a chardeain - hello Friends,
tha i nas fhuaire a-nis air an t- eilean agus tha beagan uisge ann
It is colder now on the island and it is raining a bit.
Co - dhiu, tha mi cho toilichte air sgath gum bi laithean dheth agam a-maireach agus Dihaoine.
However, i am so happy begause I'll have my days off tomorrow and Friday.

Scottish in Heart :-))
In the darkest heart the pride of man will walk allone
's ged tha mi fada bhuat cha dhealaich sinn a chaoidh
Tha ceist agam. De tha Gaidhlig airson "what are your plans for the weekend.?"
Dè mu dheidhinn... What about.... Dè tha sibh a' dèanamh aig an deireadh-seachdain?
QUOTE
De tha Gaidhlig airson "a good night?"
In Gaelic there is no word for 'a' or 'an' so - Good night = Oidhche mhath A good night = Oidhche mhath
QUOTE
what are your plans for the weekend.?
Uill, 's dòcha gum bi mi a' dol dhan amar-snàmh no rudeigin mar sin, leis a' chlann. Well, I'll probably be going to the swimming or something like that with the children.
Ach a-nochd...Bidh mi a' dol dhan taigh-sheinnse airson deoch no dhà. But tonight i'll be going to the pub for a drink or two.
Air ur slàinte!!!
