| Come Listen; To a story I'll tell "Bout having One foot on Earth And the other in Hell Its about a prediction That was made about me An Omen you'll note Of what's meant to be "He's born for the fires" The teller told all "And if Heaven Is kind I"ll be there At his fall" He'll roast in Hell For the Life He will lead A Rake and Scamp Yes even a Thief He'll not steal Jewels or Money Or gold, it's Hearts He'll go after, possess And then bolt. It's the Lassies he'll Chase to woo and forget Leaving Hearts broken With little regret. Well I'm sorry to say The prediction was right But the tables were turned And I suffered my plight The Lass I did Marry She stole my Heart Only to leave and Tear it apart. So if it is true and For Hell I am bound Let's hope there's a Cool corner Where I will be found. |
