Up in the gorge is it? Windy I mean? A light breeze off Mt Shasta at thirty five mph seems like it might feel much the same, eh? Ever see rain falling sideways? I sometimes wonder if it is much different living in Scotland as opposed to the Pacific NW high country as far as the weather is concerned anyway, does anyone know?
Aye, sideways rain is a common occurence here, as is 4-6 inches of snow on the sides of the telephone poles. I've seen my dogs step out of their houses and get blown off their feet. I stopped using dishes for them after the first year because I got tired of hiking down the canyon to find them after they blew away. All the trees here lean down the canyon and all the branches grow on one side. For those that haven't been here before, the term "The Evergreen State" only applies to Seattle. At least half the state is desert with 4-6 inches of precipitation a year. Is it like Scotland? (There's the question) I don't know never having been there. But in the 52 years this has been my home, I've seen it as cold as -48 and as hot as 114. It is a rough land that really does make tough people. Many Wetsiders ( what we call Seattleites) Move here and then leave within 2 years. We get asked "Does it always blow like this?" The two most common answers are; 1 No it stopped on a wednesday last year.
2 No sometimes it blows harder
Well once again I've gone all long winded and so I'll stop now. Okay?

Am I in the right place? I have to ask questions, right? Is it foolish to be looking forward to "meeting" some of you in the Saturday night forum? Is there anyone close to Massachusets? Should I say goodbye for now, and listen to music? Marti(????)

WE CAN'T CHANGE WHAT WE HAVE DONE.... BUT ONLY TAKE A LESSON FROM EACH EXPERIENCE AND MAKE THE MOST OF EACH MINUTE THAT WE HAVE LEFT AND TELL OURELVES THAT IT IS OK TO LIVE, LAUGH AND CRY..... PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO GIVE US WHAT WE CAN AND SHOULD EXPERIENCE AND WE NEED TO CHERISH ALL OF THE TIME THAT WE SPEND WITH OURSELVES AND OTHERS MAKING THE MOST OF THE SPECIAL MEMORIES THAT ARE OURS.. Marti, are you near Saugus? Would you care know that I had lots of family born in Massachusets? Why doesn't anyone join Miss Dreamer and I in the The Chit Chat Pub? Wizard, how is the book coming along? Do you know how much I love the story?
Celtic Cat: Saugus? Have I Heard of that? How about an hour, maybe an hour and a half from my house? When will I be able to meet any of you? Was it 9:30 for the chat on Saturday?
Welp...if you have questions..this is the right place to ask them! It may seem silly but we find a lot out about eachother just by asking a few questions - oops I mean, can't we? So, ask away, the only way to find something out is by asking a question right?
ArizonaAmy can I take your advice and learn about the folks here. What do you prefer to be called ArizonaAmy or just one word? And anyone else what do you guys like to be called when other reply to you?
JaneyMae, did you think I was ignoring you? Not so, just had some very busy days. But Washington only has a WEST coast doesn't it? But I live in the very center of Wa in a town called Ellensburg. We have a very good University, a GREAT rodeo, possibly the worlds best hay (horse food). We sell to Her Majesty's stables in England and to race tracks around the world. Any thing else anyone would care to know?
Did I know this thread existed? Maybe I've passed it by on my way to somewhere? What was I thinking? Well shall I take the time to write something? I guess I am??
