| Couuld someone please help me out and translate"bent but not broken" into irish gaelic. Please help. Thanks heaps |

| This is what I got without putting all the extra words to it or trying to change what you really mean. Crom ach mura briste. It just seems that there's too many people out there who think they are experts in Irish Gaelic forums but when you have an Irish dictionary it does help. On the update though, I'm glad that you were able to find someone of credibility because I wasn't so sure either of this either. But when I took Patrick, the Irish Admin's translation and ran it through my dictionary. This sentence fragment made much more sense. (Lubtha, ni briste). I'll definitely keep this person as a huge reference, if he's alright with that. And you are right about everyone out there on the net in general. I don't think for the most majority, they really know what they are doing. But you have to also account for the fact that most of those who are American with Irish descent may have different dialects and also huge American egos. |

| Dia dhíbh (God be with you) I assume you have sorted your original query, but out of curiosity I consulted my old De Bhaldraithe English-Irish dictionary, which translates the phrase 'Better bend than break' as 'Is fearr lúbadh ná briseadh'.
