It's great to hear the good news, Paul! I haven't been coming to the site for very long but I do love listening to the music while reading through the forums...I must say, you have a very nice setup and I wish you the best!

"Goonda" ? unsure.gif Please translate this...

--------------------
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Goonda => life's good

Don't worry, you're not odd for not knowing that. Pretty much, if you know Goonda, you know some member of my family. In this case, me. biggrin.gif

Don't hesitate to consult the Jargon file. Good historical perspective on lots of computer slang.

An excellent resource -- thank you! Although Hackerish is my native language (I often have trouble when speaking to a class due to inability to translate on the fly) I have been out of touch with the mainstream dialect as I had been off hacking in the Apple orchard for some time before getting this most excellent teaching job...
