Kevin has done a terrific job with this song. Just beautiful, but not just your "any" Auld Lang song. A new version that is surely to be a hit. We should have it available for request by tonight. Will post a link then.

Thank you Kevin for letting us play this song!

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for your lovely comments. I've always intended to record a version of "Auld Lang Syne " that I felt did justice to the spirit of deep and lasting friendship expressed in words of the song. I felt the song needed to be powerful and uplifting, a song which helped forge new friendships as well as reinforcing existing ones....... and all over a good drink too biggrin.gif beer_mug.gif . I hope I've managed to capture some of those feelings in my version.

I will of course be very interested to hear what everyone thinks thumbs_up.gif

Auld Lang Sang by Kevin Walsh is now available for requests:

View all of <a href='http://www.celticradio.net/php/playlist.php?start=0&limit=25&letter=&search=Kevin%20Walsh&type=artist&exact=exact'>Kevin Walsh Songs</a>, and the request Auld Lang Sang to hear a wonderful version of this timeless song.

Kevin's focus on music for his CD is on Robert Burns and he has done a wonderful thing by introducing us to his inspiration. Certainly a worthwhile CD to pick up for the holidays as a gift or for yourself. One of our most highly recommended CDs - 5 starts!

Hi Paul,

thanks so much for very kind words !

I've had an interesting weekend taking part in the St Andrews day celebrations in Princes St Gardens in Edinburgh where we performed a mini version of "Clarinda - The Musical".

I was also featured in the very spectacular "Son et Lumiere" show in St Andrews itself where my version of "Ae Fond Kiss" accompanied the section on Robert Burns .. I have to say I was quite proud of that biggrin.gif

Best Wishes
Kevin
