Did you know Celtic Thunder is having their first-ever cruise this Nov. 2-7, 2013 onboard the Carnival Victory and sailing from Miami to Jamaica and Grand Cayman? Cabins are still available but only if you act fast!

Really is the best Celtic Thunder album yet!!! The lads' voices mesh together better with each passing year.

Miss Paul, Phil and Damian's contributions to the album (though Damo left us with a gorgeous goodbye in his cover of "Falling Slowly" on "Voyage"), but so happy to see Guitar God Neil Byrne step up front as a leading lad, and a big welcome to Emmet Cahill. Daniel Furlong's guest vocals on "Voyage" are just beautiful; we are gonna see great things from this wee lad in the years to come -- aside from his great voice, he has the sweetest personality.

Can't pick my fave song from the new album... each track is perfect in its own right. But if you have never heard Celtic Thunder's music before, this is THE album that will make you a fan. Its varied track list makes it a great gift for everyone.

Be sure to check out "Voyage" on your local PBS station over the coming weeks and get the "Voyage" DVD for additional songs not on the album.

Keep up the great work, lads!

QUOTE (Rhymer @ 22-Oct-2010, 07:08 PM)
[FONT=Times][SIZE=1][COLOR=red]For me the most beautiful Scottish song , of which their are many, has got to be "CALEDONIA" by Dougie Mac Lean. This song is full of the yearning by a scotsman who works away from home, in the hustle and bustle of a big city. he yearns for the peace of home the simplicity and friendliness of home.Evry time I hear this song tears fill my eyes , noy many can do that.Try and hear this or request it. This song was used for 2009 Scottish "Homecoming" promotion worldwide.

Echoing Rhymer... Caledonia is the best. Love Phil Coulter's instrumental version, as well as Celtic Thunder and Dolores Keane's versions. Though written about Scotland it is a song you can relate to no matter where you are from.

Just wanted to let you all know how great Ryan Kelly's solo debut album, "In Time" is. The Irish singer/songwriter, one of the six lads from Celtic Thunder, has outdone himself with these 11 tracks, singing about love, breakups, moving away from home, abuse and faith. His passion and emotions can be felt on every track, you can feel the heart and soul he poured into writing all these songs. Check it out on CDBaby, Amazon or iTunes. Great Celtic-folky-pop album for everyone, not just Celtic Thunder fans.

I love Take Me Home. Yes, there are some country songs on this album, but Celtic Thunder, as always, puts their Celtic spin on the tunes with the addition of the tinwhistle, violins/fiddles, cello and viola to the numbers.

What I love about their CDs is that it is such a wide variety... you have Damian singing some old school classic crooner songs then the next minute have Paul doing operatic-classical songs with his fantastic tenor voice. Ryan's theatrical voice shines on Midnight Well and George just rocks out on 500 Miles. Keith's talent shines on Wichita Lineman and Homes of Donegal... you can hear the passion in his voice. That is the thing with these lads... they don't just sing cover versions, they really feel the music and lyrics... and make it their own.

Can't wait for their Christmas CD to be released this fall (October) and their Celtic CD, Heritage, to be released in early 2011.

Hey all,

I voted "other" cause I am a huge Celtic Thunder fan... they have a way about them that has their dedicated fans getting into all things Celtic/Irish/Scottish... you can't ask for something better for tourism purposes in this economy!! They are bringing traditional music to masses of Americans and other international audiences, while playing cover songs, original music and traditional Celtic tunes. And they are all as hot as their rich voices!! Plus, almost all the lads play instruments, even if not in the show (on their own recordings). Many fans have sought out Celtic history/culture/jewelry, etc., you name it, and have picked up on Irish lingo and Gaelic Irish because the lads speak it... nw that is what I call an influential artist!!

I listened to some Celtic music here and there... nothing serious... an MP3 here or there... or at a Ren Faire... owned a few Celtic Woman cds... but Celtic Thunder has made me a Celtic music fan and I have sought out other artists cause of them...

I LOVE CELTIC THUNDER!! My <3 belongs to Ryan Kelly, Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Neil Byrne, Damian McGinty and George Donaldson!!
