St. Piran is the main Saint for my ancestral home of Cornwall but I know Wikipedia lists close to 60 saints for that area. |

Nothing happening in our area but we a;lways have nbeen a spot were cultural events are pretty much non existant.. Listened to some Celtic music on Sirius XM in the car on the way to work and then celtic radio during my lunch period but that was about it. I really need to move to an area that has more stuff going on. |

Wasn't exactly a movie but it was still good. I've been watching some of the plays that are being broadcast free on youtube by the National Theatre. One was Frankenstein which was interesting but the opening act seem a bit too long. The other was One Man, Two Guvnors with James Cordon which was extremely funny. Andrew Lloyd weber also release some of his plays for free on YouTube. Joseph and Phantom being my favorites. |

Can't wait to try it out. I listen at work on a tablet right now which is connected to a cheap boombox for the sound. Unfortunately, and I don't know if it's because of the tablet, the boombox, or the website the volume is pretty low and I have to turn it up on both the tablet and the boombox to hear it. Almost to full volume. No trouble with the home speakers on my desktop computer. Music off of youtube or other stations seems to be better with the volume. Any suggestions? I don't use the app on my tablet, I just go right to the website and listen form there. |

I recently did the DNA test through Ancestry. Some surprises, some not so surprising. I knew I had Cornish, German, and Italian, but the percentages certainly threw me for a loop. BTW, my mom always insisted I was 100% Italian. She's not going to like the results and I'm not going to tell her. So here is what I got" England, Wales, and Northwestern Europe specifically Devon and Kerrier, Cornwall-50%. France-29%, Germanic Europe-10%, Ireland and Scotland- 5% and Norway, Turkey and the Caucasus, and Italy all at 2%. Which means I'm at 55% Celtic!! So glad I did this but were in the world did the Turkish come from. I still need to do some more digging but working night shift sure prevents that for now. |

Very cool. You're going to give other Celtic artists a run for their money. Start slapping those designs on calendars, prints, and tee shirts. |

Our parade went well but when it came time for the fireworks we had a real dense fog that covered the field. The stuff that was shot off the nearby mountain/hill only changed the color of the fog. Thankfully the fireworks shot off the field were still fairly visible. Great day otherwise. |

Radionomy streams are working but they are not playing Celtic Music. More new Age stuff and all three were playing the same song. Went to the "Listen Now" button and no problems. That still plays highlander radio. Problems maybe with the power outages around the country or some sort of switchover. |

Several new movies coming out. First is the Robert the Bruce story on Netflix. I haven't watched it yet but there are mixed reviews on that one. The second one is the movie Black 47. A movie about the irish potato famine starring Hugo weaving. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6znv9iBGX6w And don't forget our favorite Scottish princess Merida makes a wee bit of an appearance in the new Wreck it Ralph movie. Just remember she's from the "other" studio. |
