If you spend money buying celtic items at any scottish, ren-fairs, or irish festivals, how much would you say you average spending when at the festival? Do not include foods into this total!

Thanks !

Well, as I am more than Scottish (biggrin.gif) when it comes to money I would say between $50-100 seldom more... Moreoften even less.

As for me, it all depends on if i really want the item. lil dodads i may buy... but i will spend hundreds if i saw an instrument or something else i really wanted and new i couldnt get it elsewhere (like ebay)...

food and drink should never be counted in the dodad column. cause ya gotta eat.

so feel free spend away. they all except plastic. biggrin.gif

The least I spent was 5.00 on a Celtic knot toe ring the most 475.00 on garb. Total I could have bailed a small country out of debt.

what I am saying is I have spent as little as 5.00 at some events and as much as 500.00 at others. Sometimes I spend nothing because I cna not decide what I need the most. I am sorry, am I misunderstanding the question??

good to see you madadh it's been awhile....

gypseyreyne i think annabelle was confused with the term garb.
annabelle garb is renaissance faire talk for clothes or costume.

let's see....Irish Fest 2006 I spent about $50 on CD's alone...about another $50 in trinkets (including some really kick-butt pure lambs wool scarfs)...

admission was 12/day...3 days...$36
food about $20/day...3 days....$60
transportation $7/day (roundtrip shuttle bus)....$21
beer....at about $4-$5/beer...I think I had one...was busy having too much fun to drink....go figure.

so all in all the trinkets was a little less than half of my festival budget this year

My best reply would be...not nearly as much as I would like to. In the real world my biggest purchase was this year...$400 for a kilt. But I will usually spend up to $200.00 if unforseen circumstances don't keep popping up and I actually have some of my money left over.
