We are down to 6 days to the Classic Celtic Festival in Bethlehem Pa!
Here is some info you are going to want to take note of.
Hampton Inn Suites of Bethlehem is not only the hotel most of us are staying at but if you need to leave a message for any of us Make sure you put Celtic Radio on the front of the message. Please use their front desk to leave messages for each other in case we have a problem locating each other. Eamon if you need to leave us a message please leave it there too.
So we can identify each other there will be name tags that say "Celtic Radio" at the front desk when you sign in for your room. Attached to the name tag will be a print out with the schedule of events for the festivals and the 2 meeting places highlited. If I get time (a biggie) I'll have a copy of the town map for you too so you can find everything.
The Glengarry Bhoys are playing Friday night only at the Grand Pavilion from 9-11 so if you are coming in Friday night and have missed others of our group please make that concert a meeting place to catch up with others from Celtic Radio.
The Saturday Concert of Charlie Zahm's from 3-4 is our meeting place at the Ice House. I have spoken with Charlie and he is delighted to spend a few moments with Celtic Rado members so please attend so we can get a picture of all of us together with Charlie!
Hopefully the weather will be dry and clear.
I'm looking forward to personally meeting everyone at the hotel or festival.
I forgot to mention an additional group called "King Chiaullee" will be playing this weekend at the festival. They are a group from the Isle of Mann and are worth catching.
Here is a listing of those folks who either said they are coming or were "maybe's"
If you do come, please stop by the Hampton Inns Suites and ask for my room number (registered under "Rood") so you can pick up your Celtic Radio Name Badge. This will help identify you to others from the network and assist the musical talents in remembering who you are and why you are slobbering over them.
If you are not coming there is no problem we just wanted to be covered in case you show. And if you don't, your loss! ha! ha! You are going to miss an awesome festival. Worth the travel!!!!
So be sure to come by my room in the mornings and get your badge if your name is on this list! Yes, you can wake me up but don't expect a happy face in the mornings!
Annabelle
There will also be a message board on my door so you can leave me a message for anyone in the group and I will make sure to find them and pass the message along.

Please allow me to recommend Seamus Kennedy as well. He is a talented musician, as well as a really funny guy. His afternoon shows are family friendly but his 10 pm shows tend to be bawdy. If you're up there, you should see him once. He is playing at 10 pm on both Friday and Saturday night, although I don't recall which tent on which night.
Hello Fran19, Hope to see you there. Seamus Kennedy is performing Friday night at 10:15 at Tavern in the Glen Sat afternoon 1:30 in The Bairn Yard Sat night 10:00 Tavern in the Glen Sundayafternoon at 12:30 at Tavern in the Glen Right after Charlie Zahn also Sunday at 5:00 at the Grand Pavilion
Hope that will help on times and places! See you there!
I wish I could join the gathering, but I am a college student and it's hard to plan trips in the middle of the semester It sounds like a lot of fun though, and I have wanted to attend the Bethlehem Festival for years.
Please allow me to recommend a band that is playing the festival, named Carbon Leaf. They are from my hometown of Richmond, VA, and have an unbelievable amount of talent and energy that really shines when they are playing a live show. If anyone wants to hear a sample of their style, you can check out their website at http://www.carbonleaf.com
Everyone have an amazing time for me while you enjoy a weekend of awesome music and Celtic culture!!! I'm jealous

I should have known - or been paying attention... I just got Macfive's email about the gathering of Celtic Radio folks at the Bethlehem Celtic Classic. This has been in the works for a long time! Maybe I should visit the Forums more often...
At any rate, I'm hoping to catch the Bhoys on Friday night, being only an 1.5 hrs from Bethlehem. I'll keep my eyes open for tagged Highland R's... Have you picked a FRS channel yet?
Here's to a great weekend!

Keith, I'll be monitoring channel 14. When you get to the Bhoys show, just start calling for Shrule.
Better yet, take a room at the Hampton and you won't have a problem finding us. Just follow the noise down the hallway.
Zephyr I'll be sure to get you lots of photo's! If you talk to the folk in the group King Chiaullee tell them to expect a visit from the Queen of the Bar to ask them to do some photo shots for Celtic Radio! Thanks Z! See ya next time ! A
