Background: The name Rogerson most likely is descended from the name Roger, first found in Aberdeenshire as early as the 11th century. Roger was a valiant captain who came to England, then to Scotland from Normandy in the following of the Duke of Normandy, William, and was at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D.
