As discussed in our previous days news, we have installed a number of scripts to rotate different "shows" of Celtic music throughout the day. I would have to ask for your patience over the next 1-2 weeks as we work through this process. We do not have a test server for our broadcast, so unfortunately it is going to be a little confusing for the listener.

We are working with Rebecca (The Voice of Highlander Radio) in creating scripts for her that will sync with our broadcast schedule.

One of the first scripts I am trying out is a "2 for Tuesday" script that plays back to back artists throughout the day. Requests will be turned off on Tuesdays and during our 'After Hours Show' from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Again, we ask that you be patience with us during this time until everything is completed for evaluation. Thanks.

May dragons bring you wealth
and guard your treasures
May they banish darkness and enlighten you
May female dragons grant you inner power
May the Dragon Queen
neutralize your enemies
May Dragon Spirits

May weather dragons
bring rain at your request
May Ti'amat effect the changes you command
May Ishtar grant you Dragon Power
May Ishtar grant you Dragon Power

Bagpipes are from 9-10 every night except Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday. After hours is every night from 10pm to 6am. Just leave it on all night and here some of the most delightful music to fall asleep too.

Top Ten Requests are played everyday at 3:00, Pub Music is coming 8-10 every Friday and Saturday Night.

I'll have everything in an online program guide tied to your member account so it will show the proper times for your timezone.

I suspect you already know this, but your new script system is playing the same song over and over.

Oh good - I'm not the only one that noticed that.

I got into work this morning all set to listen to good ole highland music and I've been blasted with kids tunes played over and over and over.

I've had to start listening to cds and mp3s again while waiting for the good celtic music to start up again.

The two for tuesday script bombed terribly. While it worked fine on its own, it did not interact appropriately with all of the other scripts. Sort of a run away program!

We have decided to drop the "2 for Tuesday" show and stick to a more traditional approach every day. Again, detals of the new schedule will be coming out over the next week.

It is extremely unlikely that the same issues will happen tomorrow since we removed the culprit script.

Killian will be closely monitoring things tommorow. Again my apologies!

MacFive, I appreciate all the work you're doing to make your broadcast even more pleasing! I also know that when programming computers, things go rwong... frusty.gif

I spent most of my day listening to your other stream, CelticHearts; as a suggestion, you may want to consider putting a link to it on the main page on days when you have to try new stuff without testing it first...

On the positive side, I now know more Irish nursery rhymes than I do USA ones... biggrin.gif

--------------------
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Any chance of a display on the main page telling us what hour it is and what session is being broadcast, also an upcoming session and a requests open in *x* hours would be nice. So I can figure out when I want to tune in again.

The new schedule seems to working reasonably well and I'm getting use to it. I was wondering however if the Rankins are going to be the Featured Artist every night? It seems they were played between 7PM and 8PM both last night and tonight and I believe also over this past weekend during the same time frame. I was expecting to hear different featured artists every night.
