I've got 3 from others and one I came up with yesterday.
From Spider Robinson,
"You can't waste a hug" and, "Shared pain is lessened pain; shared joy is increased."

From Henry David Thoreau,
"The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it."

From myself,
"Life is a deadline."
That sounds harsh at first glance but think about it awhile.

Cool! Another Spider Robinson fan! Do you know this one?

You don't know what you've got until you lose it. If you then get it back, you're Lazarus on laughing gas.

It's from his latest book, 'Callahan's Con'.

What do you regard as most humane??To spare someone shame.

The world is a beautiful book, but of little use to him who cannot read it.

Chaos often breeds life, while order breeds habit.

Those who dance are called insane by those who don't hear the music.

Believe in always showing your true colors.
Just being who you are, and not trying to be more for someone other than yourself.

This above all- to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

is one of my favorites.

I read the following on the wall of my doctors office a few years ago and it impressed me so much. I carry a copy of it with me all the time......

ATTITUDE by Charles Swindoll

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude , to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and this is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our Attitudes."

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away."

and another good one:

"Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end."
