Well another 18th century film has come upon us. If you are into historical period films, this film is a must-see!

This is one that my daughter and I are going to go see. Movies like this is something we do together, and daddy stays home with the kids. thumbs_up.gif

I don't know about that. I may try to talk the wife into seeing this one. If failing that, I'll put it on my Netflix que.

I'm rather interested in this too, after the trailer I saw last night. Want to know more.

I have read several reviews about this. It will be interesting to see how Keira portrays this "Spencer" and how close history has repeated itself.

hey Flora, I don't have high hopes in the authenticity department as Hollywood always has to add "creative license' to every thing. But I hope we get a good view of what Princess Diana's ancestor's life was like.

I recently saw this. I wonder if anything has changed much in the way some are willing to sell happiness for title and riches. Then to find purpose they commit themselves to political or humane causes. It seemed like history repeating itself, except Diana finally tried to break free.

I have found that I am a real sucker for period costume pieces. Having said that I really enjoyed this film.
