Oh wait, I see it now, the winners are there. It just doesn't say to look for another contest like the founders announcement above it does.

Happy Holidays MK players and CR peeps!

I got plenty of Irish in my blood but I didn't even make the top 100 last names list.

Guess that makes me a unique Irishman!

I Just saw Star Wars the Last Jedi, i enjoyed it. Probably not as good as the original three movies but had some great cinematic moments. Definitely worth seeing in the theater!

My kids are at the fun ages between 4 and 11 so it'll be busy and chaotic. I'm just hoping the Mrs. and I can slow down enough over the next few days to really emphasize what the true meaning of Christmas is all about to my young ones.

I wish everyone here at Celtic Radio a very Merry Christmas with friends and family!

Here is a poem I have always enjoyed about this time of year.

When I was a young turkey, new to the coop,
my big brother Tom took me out on the stoop,
then he sat me down, and he spoke real slow,
and he told me there was something that I had to know.
His look and his tone I will always remember,
when he told me of the horrors of…. Black November.
“Come around August, now listen to me,
each day you’ll get six meals instead of just three,
and soon you’ll be thick, where once you were thin,
and you’ll grow a big rubbery thing under your chin.
And then one morning, when you’re warm in your bed,
in will burst the farmer’s wife, and hack off your head,
Then she’ll pluck out all your feathers so you’re bald ‘n pink,
and scoop out all your insides and leave ya lyin’ in the sink.
And then comes the worst part”, he said not bluffing,
“She’ll spread your cheeks and pack your rear with stuffing”.
Well, the rest of his words were too grim to repeat,
and as I sat on the stoop like a winged piece of meat,
I decided on the spot that to avoid being cooked,
I’d have to lay low and remain overlooked.
I began a new diet of nuts and granola,
high-roughage salads, juice and diet cola.
And as they ate pastries, chocolates and crepes,
I stayed in my room doing my fitness tapes.
I maintained my weight of two pounds and a half,
and tried not to notice when the bigger birds laughed.
But ’twas I who was laughing, under my breath,
as they chomped and they chewed, ever closer to death.
And sure enough when Black November rolled around,
I was the last turkey left in the entire compound.
So now I’m a pet in the farmer’s wife’s lap.
I haven’t a worry, so I eat and I nap.
She held me today, while sewing and humming,
and smiled at me and said….. “Christmas is coming…”

thumbs_up.gif Congrats on beating the odds thus far. Less than 50% of couples can boast such an accomplishment. May you both celebrate many more year together!

Have fun in Boston. I have not been yet but it's on my wife and I's bucket list.

USA Today suggests these as the top 10 thing to see in Boston.

1 Boston Common
2 Boston Public Garden
3 TD Garden
4 Fenway Park
5 Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
6 New England Aquarium
7 The Christian Science Center
8 Prudential Tower
9 Boston Public Library
10 Downtown Crossing

True - I enjoy learning about our world from the great minds of those past and present. (If only my young kids felt the same way...)

Your immediate family size today is less than that of your parents when they were the same age as you are now.
