As in the Episodes IV, V and VI trilogy. What is a series of six films called? Sexology? :S
It was a little birthday present to myself.

I don't think they mentioned the name of the town. It was in the BBC Wales news, but now I can't find the page anymore.

Most recently I've seen Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the latest Star Wars movie...before that, I saw Finding Neverland...all good movies. I also saw the Phantom of the Opera movie and laughed/cried/ranted and raged at the screen through the whole thing (I hated it).

I liked "Phantom". I thought it was just as good as the play.

You could tell the young lady who played Christine was the only one of the three main characters who has had classical training as a singer. I read one time that she used to sing with the Metropolitan (N.Y.) Opera.

Been watching almost every day The Phantom of the Opera. I loved it very much. I have quite some versions of the movie as it is.

From Lon Chaney, Herbert Lom, Claude Rains, Robert Englund, Charles Dance and now Gerard Butler. Also have a few more similar ones. Like Phantom in Paradise and Phantom of the Mall - Eric's Revenge. I even have the animated version.

I have to say I enjoyed the movie very much with Gerard Butler. He plays it so wonderful. And since I saw Gerard Butler and his acting in this movie - I checked his other ones out. Got me also Lara Croft - Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life, where he plays Terry. I like his acting very much. Still want to get Attila and Dracula 2000 and some other ones with him.

Other movies I have seen, Raising Helen - I like John Corbett (also My Big Fat Greek Wedding).

And The Matchmaker - plays in Ireland mostly. Pretty funny movie. At least worth to watch once.

Actually, her training was minimal (and IMO showed)...she sang in the Met's children's chorus when she was younger...not quite the same as singing at the Met...her training beyond that was lacking. Patrick Wilson (Raoul) was the only one with training in that movie...he was a Broadway actor...Butler (who pretended to be the Phantom) was abysmal...and had no training...at all.

Ok ok I'll stop! For much of my life I breathed, slept, and lived Phantom...it's still a huge part of me...so I wasn't happy with the film as I felt it took away everything the story IS.

Crysania, I had heard about Patrick Wilson being a very well-trained Broadway actor too. I saw him in The Alamo and I thought he was brilliant in that movie.

Recently, we have seen Star Wars, we all went and absolutely loved it. I am sorry to see the series come to an end.
Also have seen Phantom, I liked it very much actually, more than I thought that I would.
"The Notebook" was most excellent. The Aviator was ok too, I'm just not real fond of Leonardo DiCaprio, I don't know why.
Anyone seen "Son Of The Mask"? For pure fun, this movie is it, I swear some parts are lifted right out of a Tom and Jerry cartoon. I laughed till my sides hurt.

I've just come back from seeing Star Wars III again - almost 2 weeks since I went last. I am sorry to see the series come to an end as well and this time I wanted to cry when it ended - such a sad ending.

I've heard only good things about Phantom, but am weary... I'm not sure it's my cup of tea.

I may have to go see Star Wars again soon. I can use the second movie voucher I got for my birthday from my sister's kids.

Well, I checked out several movies lately. Since I am interested in the work Gerard Butler did before the Phantom.

I watched so far with him Tombraider - The Cradle of Life, Dracula 2000, Timeline and got me today Reign of Fire.
Attila is already ordered.

Can't wait for July when his other movie "Dear Frankie" comes out on DVD. Then I want to see his newest "Beowulf and Grendel". I know the story since I was a kid since my father read the stories of the heros of the North to us when there was a thunderstorm outside.

Van Helsing was another one I saw - yesterday matter of fact, right after Timeline.

When you watched Van Helsing, did you recognize anyone from the LOTR movies?

I added a trivia fact to IMDb.com about one of Van Helsing's stars, Kate Beckinsale: She's played both a vampire (Underworld) and a vampire hunter (Van Helsing). I couldn't believe nobody caught that before I did.

Well I have to admit that I didn't watch any of the LOTR movies yet.

And I haven't seen Underworld as well.

But thanks for the info. When I check out Underworld I guess I will watch out for that.

So which character played in LOTR and is also in Van Helsing?

You don't really have to tell. LOL

David Wenham played Faramir in the 2nd & 3rd LOTR movies and Karl (the friar) in Van Helsing.
