I've read that a lot of you speak scottish gaelic. Gaelic is the best language that I've ever tried to learn. I'm learning Irish but its really hard living in the middle of the US. No one speaks it hear. Any help would be appreciated go raibh maith agat.

Dannan is the one to go to with the questions! She's good!

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle
Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

Wow, thanks Ceciliastar1! I'll try to live up to that reputation!

whistlenrun, I am the Gaelic forum leader, and I am pretty good at Irish, since it was the first one I learned. What exactly do you want to know? Or do you just want some lessons? Let me know, either on this thread, or in a Personal Message. I am here to help in any way I can!

Thanks Danann
Lessons would be great. I've been trying to learn by myself but it's hard to learn a language without help in pronunciation guides. I'm interested in every aspect of the language greetings, goodbyes, and everything in between. Any help is appreciated.
