My FUNeral

When I am gone
And those I knew
Come to pay respect
Bid a last adieu
They'll find
No coffin or body
To view. No corpse laid out
With a waxen smile.
The only things that'll
Be in the room
M' Kilt, M' Medals,
And M' Badger Sporran.
Kind remarks that they
Think are due
Can be address tae
M' Broughan shoes
M' full regalia
"ll be laid out
Under the Flag
Next tae a keg
O' stout
And as they drink
And I hope get drunker
They'll make their toasts
Tae the daft auld bugger
They'll say out loud
With a knowing nod
Aye, a grand auld chap
(The miserable sod)
But what care I
For I'm nae there
I'm in Scottish Heaven
Drinkn' single malt
Eatn' black puddn
And bashn the Bloody English.

Rindy;

It was not till this morning that I read about your loss and I am pleased that my poem helped a little. You have my deepest sympathy as it is alway hard to loose someone, especially when they are young and not had the time to enjoy life to its fullest.

May the Universe the Creator
Watch over and protect you
May the Earth our Mother
Comfort and nurture you
In your Journey through Life
And may the Spirits Of all
Who Have gone Before and
All who are to Come
Rejoice in your Travels
