Well, I spend alot of time idleing about in the chatroom but on the online list I never show up.. even if I change my name or anything..

Why?

Aon, I know what you mean. I have been on all day and even though I am on the main forum list as being on, as I move from sub-forum to sub-forum, I'm not listed as viewing the page. I suspect that is what you are talking about. I have noticed that happening frequently. It hasn't hindered me from posting at all. Has to be a glitch in the program.

I'll see if I can run some tests about this issue. I am not sure if I fully understand it.

Part of the problem could be two fold:

1. The chat services we use are actually provided by a third-party, even though it seems to be part of our site.

2. The system should update the chat stats every five minutes.

3. Around November I changed a setting. This setting made sure that when you loaded a webpage it would not use the cache stored on your computer. I changed that to use the cache stored on your computer to save on bandwidth. I did fear that it would result in alot of issues, but it seemed to work ok and no issues were reported. I'll see if I can test this on and off.

I have pretty much been devoting most of my time to the family this past week. I've got a pile of CD's and emails to answer. I will be back working on the site starting on Thursday to kick the new year off! smile.gif
