Mmmmmm Iced Coffee.......when you fire up your steel pony, bring me one of those. We'll sit on the porch and discuss future work interests
Taking a break from the Job Search and deciding what to cook for supper.
Yesterday: I took advantage of the nice weather; Cleaned up our shrubs and bushes, raked the lawn (three bags worth of dead grass) and watered it a bit then it started to rain some. I was going to spread lawn seed, but there was none to be found in my gardening treasure trove. My yard looks much better.
I picked up two hanging flower baskets ($10 each) looks healthy and many buds.....Petunias....one with purple & white flowers, the other dark pink & white. I hope they'll last. It's ever so dry out here!!!
Today I completed some job searches, went to the store and picked up another hanging flower basket (Lobelia - soft violet and white flowers) and a bag of awn seed since we're expecting thunder showers this afternoon. Sowed the lawn seed, watered, brushed and clipped the dog. Everyone is getting a spruce up lately Now, I am sitting back, taking a rest and reading some posts
Hmmmm...watching TV, messing around on the computer, drinking a beer, and debating on going to bed and reading. Lots of yard work to do tomorrow if the weather holds out. But since it is a holiday weekend, I'm sure the rain will come soon...unfortunately.
Hey, Leelee. I'm drinking Highlander Grog coffee! I just came in from mowing. Rain is moving in again.

Starting the day with Irish Cream and Coffee. Yummy. Have the laundry started. Put in the new fountain yesterday and planted all of the plants around it. Sore today. Today's agenda is to clean up the front porch, repot houseplants and move them to front porch and clean up the patio.

Hubby calls this my Fairy Garden. The pot in the back with the elm tree growing in it is to keep the neighborhood cats from running thru there when the dogs chase them out of the yard.
I am sitting here checking email first thing in the morning while watching CSI:NY. I am also wishing that I would hear from my nephew who is on leave from the Army. He is very lazy about contacting family.
Val, it is a lovely garden. I am familiar with the angel wing begonia but not the little white flowers you have around your fountain.
I'm afraid if I was as fortunate to have a beautiful garden like that, my dogs would be more of the problem. They crush my herb garden with their big feet.
Faerydreamer, I hear you. I have a nephew in the Air Force. Too many fires to burn while on leave.
We just finished barbecue in time, thunderstorms are rolling in.
