We are happy to announce the release of our brand new windows stream.

One of the most often questions we get from windows users is how to setup their computers for listening to Highlander Radio. Unfortunately, this has always involved installing an alternative media player in order to listen to our stream. Now we can offer native support to windows users on the fly, with no need to install additional players.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Winamp 24kps (modem) stream is currently down. Modem users can user our new Windows stream to listen - until such time as we get the Winamp modem stream back up and streaming.

Links to both our modem and broadband streams can be found on our frontpage!

Paul, I've been listening through WMP the last few days and I have to admit, it sounds cleaner and the bass is much improved over the WinAmp. I'm running my sound through Bose speakers, so you can tell the difference. As much as I hate giving Bill Gates any credit, it does sound better. I haven't downloaded WinAmp 5 yet, so maybe that will make a difference in the sound. I hope so, I really don't want to promote any Microsoft products.

Paul -- unfortunately we Mac modem denizens can't use the WMP stream, but only the WinAmp 24kps stream. sad.gif Would you be so kind as to give an ETA on when it will be back? [whimpers -- withdrawal setting in....]

Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?
