I've only been listening a few days, and while I've heard her sing with Clannad, I've not heard any tracks from her solo albums.

IMHO Moya has one of the most incredible celtic voices in the world.

I relly like Moya. I have a couple of her solo CD's, and am hoping to get her new one soon. She does have a wonderful voice. Did you know she's Enya's sister?
I'm a big Enya fan, too.

Oh yes I've read her book "the other side of the rainbow" she has a wonderful story, but mentions little about Enya.

I'm not real keen on her last album, Two horizons, but I love Whisper to the Wild Water.

I've been wary of her solo work myself, not knowing quite what to expect. I love Clannad, and I love Enya, but when I heard she'd gone solo, and then that she phonetisized her name (such a shame).

I started hearing Two Horizons here though, and it has found a slot in my collection.

I haven't heard a lot, but I 've liked what I've heard from her.

I finally got around to booting windows and popping Two Horizons in to check out the extras. Adds another angle on the CD, another layer of understanding that which cannot be understood. The concept of this CD, the entire theme of it is deep. The simple magic of a quest of daybreak. A journey carried on between day and night, and starting from what may be one of the most magical places on Earth (I can't speak first hand *yet*). The story of this CD, is one of a journey. A journey caught between night and day. A journey between Two Horizons.

Put the CD in, sit back, relax, and let the music carry you along on the quest.

Given the subject matter of this thread, I believe it better suited for the Celtic Music forum. I'll move it over there and leave a link here for those of you who may come here looking for it.

Thanks, and apologies for wrongly placing it, I didn't notice the forum for celtic music - heck of a big site, it's easier finding my way around London!

I love Máire Brennan's music also. I have 12 Clannad albums, all 5 of her solo albums, and the Christian trio album, In Christ Alone, which she recorded with Margaret Becker and Iona's Joanne Hogg.

I have that CD with the three lassies, but mine is called "New Irish Hymns" - unless there is another recording out.

her voice is comparable with Karen Carpenter (the best female voice I ever heard), probably even better
I have Anam, Banba
woah! her voice is very good
I remember the guy in military told me about Celtic, that I should listen Clannad
yes, he's right
