Myself, I'd like to go to Ireland, Scotland (especially the Highlands), and the Galicia region of Spain. I've seen pictures on the Internet and that looks like it'd be a nice place to visit.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Before I took over the Brittany forum, I would have said Scotland first and then Ireland. Period. Now, Scotland is still first, but Ireland and Brittany are tied for second!

'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama. Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.
I would enjoy taking a trip to all of the gaelic areas; especially Scotland where my ancestors are from and Ireland where my husband's grandfather is from.
Scotland, and then Ireland. And then, well, it's all good after that. Isle of Man has been looking pretty interesting lately. (though, I don't know if that's considered a gaelic region. They speak Manx and English, right?)

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
-Alexander Maclean Sinclair of Goshen (protector of Gaelic Culture)
Well, I've been to Ireland already, but I wouldn't mind going back! Howver, I really really want to go to scotland since i haven't been there yet. Hopefully someday I will!

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it; And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile, And with dew from his eye often wet it. It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.
I have been to Britanny and Galicia in Spain...wishing dearly to visit Scotland and Ireland!

It's been a life long dream to visit Scotland. My grand parents grew up just outside of Edinburgh. I may have my chance in 2006. My pipe band is tentatively planning on going over to play in the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow.
I would also love to see Ireland. Got a wee bit of green in me, too.

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.
Scotland for sure. I'd love to see the land that my great-grandparents left behind. Maybe once school is finished next summer and I get my internship under my belt, I'll go there and see if I can't get a few tips from a chef in that area and maybe exchange some recipes. I have a few Scottish recipes that my grandmother still uses today but it would be nice to get a few more to try out.

Lay you down in green meadows amongst the heather for it is there the music calls to your soul and beckons you home.
